Wahid Ogeer is a farmer by profession since childhood. He is currently (2015) the President of the Practical Agricultural Training Institute of Trinidad and Tobago, and the President of the Confederation of Farmers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (CFAtt).
In 1974, Mr. Ogeer was President of the Trinidad and Tobago Tobacco Farmers Union. At around this time, Wahid became actively involved in politics, becoming a founding member of the United Labor Front (ULF), then under former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday. Wahid has since played an active role in community affairs and observing the need for change by a society slowly eroding in cultural, social and family values.
Through the last several decades, Wahid has been actively involved in developing plans for a number of social, economic and environmental issues, in particular, a national crime plan.
