POLITICAL LEADER OF THE YOUR PARTY.

Professional Profile of Dennis T Ramdahin – Co-Founder & Political Leader YOUR Party.
Dennis Ramdahin is a Trinidadian born internationally respected scientist and sustainable development practitioner with 20 years of engagement in the field of sustainability planning and implementation. He specializes in the development of solutions for complex issues requiring sustainable thinking, including poverty alleviation and climate mitigation programs, both internationally and in Trinidad and Tobago.
Ramdahin is Founder and Lead Scientist of the Vihara Foundation, a US based non-profit that is working to develop and implement a much coveted business model for poverty alleviation worldwide. The first focus of the Vihara Foundation is on the Bihar/Uttar Pradesh rural farming sector—one of the most poverty stricken regions of the world, and ancestral lands of many Indo-Indentures who came to Trinidad and the Caribbean.
Born in a small farming community of Calcutta Settlement, Trinidad, 1970, Dennis Ramdahin is a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), a status recognized (by the Global Indo Diaspora Community) and being held by only a few people of Indo-Indentured Descendants (third generation) who have returned to India. In Ramdahin’s case, he is recognized as one of the few who have actually returned to the ancestral lands of Bihar/Uttar Pradesh India, to contribute to the development of solutions for improving the lives of the poor in the rural farming communities. The lessons learned from this auspicious project are being transferred back to Trinidad and Tobago to help the farmers there.
Ramdahin resided continuously in India for three years (2009-2011) developing the Vihar Project of the Vihara Foundation, and has been engaged over the past five years (2009-present) in mobilizing the farmers of the District of Ballia to work together in support of executing plans to uplift and shift the poor and poverty-stricken farming communities towards development and sustainable livelihoods. In fact, the present work being conducted by Vihara Foundation under the leadership of Dennis Ramdahin is deemed as “one of the largest poverty alleviation sustainable development business prototype models being undertaken in India, and probably the world” (a scoped 500 sq.km). Oncecompleted, the success of the work in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, will be earmarked for replication in other parts of India and globally.
As a sustainable development practitioner, Ramdahin is also actively engaged in designing and developing Climate Mitigation Programs to effect “scale of change” in how we as society use energy and contribute to carbon pollution. Ramdahin is a co-founder of the newly commissioned program, “Super Energy Efficient Building Initiative for Climate Action,” an initiative to transform residentialv sector communities (starting in New York City) into a high state of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Leveraging lessons learned and leadership skills Ramdahin has broad and in-depth experience in development issues by commanding projects surrounding some of the most challenging problems confronting today’s planet. It is Ramdahin’s vision to forge this same level of sustainable development thinking for Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.
To answer the call of those in the poorer rungs of society as well as farmers of the world, Ramdahin sees opportunity for a new political vision—one that can truly concentrate on people’s needs and the needs of their planet.
Ramdahin founded, along with key farmers and stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago, a key attorney involved in the crafting of the T&T Constitution of 1976, and under the advice of senior international political strategists to the Former Australian Prime Minister, a new political vision party (the YOUR Party). Ramdahin is Chief Development Strategist and Political Leader of “Your Party” of Trinidad andTobago, a people empowerment platform founded on integrity, transparency, and sustainability—three critical pillars to good governance.
Your Party’s new emergence into politics was inspired by the call of Trinidad and Tobago’s former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday for a change in the way governance is delivered to the people, and for equal representation for the farming section of society. Though not a follower of Panday’s previous governance ideology per se, such a call fell on the ears of the country’s farming community, who then approached Ramdahin (as founder of the Confederation of Farmers Association of T&T) to step up to the leadership platform.
Your Party in essence was born on the premise of the need to create an alternative platform of new and high-integrity politics, to counter the dissatisfaction experienced by the least empowered fraction of society.
Background and Career Development
1. Ramdahin was born in 1970 in a small farming village called Calcutta Settlement, Trinidad, West Indies. He is a third-generation born East Indian descendant of Indo-Indenturers who migrated from Bihar/Uttar Pradesh, India via Calcutta in the mid-1800s.
2. Ramdahin migrated to New York City, USA at the early age of 18. He was a first-generation migrant of a then-new-and-large wave of Indo-Caribbean immigration to the US and Canada, fleeing an emerged era of economic depression and hardship, and political turmoil in Trinidad and Tobago (soon thereafter).

7. Parallel to Ramdahin’s State Government involvement, he became deeply involved in theoretic modelling for poverty alleviation in the Republic of Haiti and India. It would be this passion that would lead him to move from New York City to Bihar/Uttar Pradesh to continue his work in poverty alleviation, and to the formation of the Vihara Foundation.

Career Contributions of Dennis Ramdahin
The following is a list that highlights Dennis Ramdahin’s leadership and competency in sustainable and community development around the world. This portfolio of experience loans credibility and confidence to Mr. Ramdahin as a leader who aims to build a sound and democratic society for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
a. Vihara Foundation www.viharafoundation.org – Founder and Lead Scientist. An international, educational, and scientific non-profit organization (NGO) engaged in the design and implementation of a sustainable development business model for poverty alleviation and climate mitigation. The VF aims to make a change in the way poverty and climate change impact is addressed globally, by creating and delivering—which it is currently doing—practical models that can affect change to the people on the ground and on the environment. Thus far, VF has mobilized farmers in the District of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, India (approx. 1/3 the size of Trinidad) to embrace development strategies that will steer them to greater and sustainable production and revenue, with improvements in quality of life and environment (directly attributed to poverty alleviation), and with positive benefits from climate mitigation.
The Vihara Foundation model is deemed one of the most promising development proposals to help farmers empower themselves, according to senior consultant to the World Bank. Currently, the Vihara model is being adopted into Trinidad and Tobago under the recently commissioned Confederation of Farmers Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Dennis Ramdahin is the Founder and Vice President.
b. Vihara Foundation/UNESCO Rock against Poverty (RaP) – In order to fuel a meaningful international drive for poverty alleviation and climate change, Dennis Ramdahin under the auspice of the Vihara Foundation founded the Rock against Poverty Creative Development Fundraising Platform. This platform aims to raise an unprecedented 100 million dollars per year to finance development projects that are engaged in the causes of humanity and the planet. RaP/UNESCO has branded the cause through interaction and teamwork with United Nations UNESCO/New York, and is currently engaging and collaborating with mainstream foundations to launch the global fundraising efforts.
c. Diaspora Development Bank Proposal – Dennis Ramdahin is instrumental in currently guiding the process for the conceptualization and development of an international platform for Diaspora Banking. This is in need for harnessing identifiable efficiencies that could be founded in creating a platform for both Diaspora Banking, and remittances. The purpose of the bank is to create a common platform upon which Diasporas can bank collectively, thereby increasing their asset investments, and also, creating a platform whereby they can collectively remit monies to countries of origin for lesser than market transmission values. Doing so is projected to create a billion dollar fund whereby resources can be allocated to development projects that would result in improvement of social, economic, and environmental enhancements.
d. Super Energy Efficient Building Initiative for Climate Action – Dennis Ramdahin is involved as founder and lead energy strategist in designing a practical business model for effecting community based energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. As co-founder, Ramdahin is instrumental in launching the US Super Energy Efficient Building Initiative for Climate Action (SEEBICA), a national training and commercial action plan for overhauling the large inventories of residential sector houses from existing low energy efficiency levels to higher states of energy efficiency. Cumulatively, at the community levels, this will result in tremendous opportunity for energy efficiency, carbon offset, and all the while, improvement in the quality of lives of the common people.
e. Confederation of Farmers Associations of T&T (CFAtt) – Dennis Ramdahin is instrumental in founding the CFAtt (Commissioned 2014) in a bid to transfer research and development work out of the Vihara Foundation initiative in India directly into Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean. This is a measure of delivering an action plan to empower farmers and improve their status as key segments of the society as food security providers, all the while, improving their quality of life. The CFAtt was launched on August 20, 2014, following three years of multi-level conversation and development.
Ramdahin is a board member of the Worldwide Medical Mission (with operations in Belize) and a Hindu representative of the New York Interfaith Committee (sponsored by the Worldwide Association of Small Churches).
